Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma patient develops a cough

Question  My husband was recently diagnosed with low grade, non hodgkins lymphome which was in many places in his body. His oncologist suggested R-CHOP chemotherapy. He has had 2 treatments and has developed a cough which he describes is being brought on by a tickle in his throat. He tried antibiotic and cough meelp. Can this be a side effect of the Rituxin? What can he do to help the cough?

Answer  Would suggest that you discuss this with the oncologist.  Pulmonary symptoms can be associated with Rituxan, but infections in the lung should be ruled out first.
