I cannot take NSAIDS and Tylenol does nothing for the stiffness of my OA .I was taking Vioxx but stopped at the first reports of problems with it.I had a MI 15 yrs ago.I asked my doctor this morning what I could take in the place of Vioxx and other cox 2 medications and he said frankly I do not know with your ulcer problem.Could you please help me out.I have severe Cervical arthritis,my feet,hands and chronic Bursitis in both shoulders.I have had OA for over 30 yrs.Iam 69 yrs old and have been walking 5 days a week since I retired 15 yrs ago. |

One option might be to take an older NSAID together with a medication to prtect your stomach such as Prilosec, Prevacid or similar product. Talk to your doctor again. |
