Cortisone shots for OA in the knee

Question  Is there a limit to the number of shots that one should receive and how many if so ?

Answer  This is an inexact science, but I limit the injections to once every 6 months and at most 3 times a year for OA joints. Steriods can weaken the ligament and tendon structures of the joint, delay healing and thus injections should no tbe done too frequently.
