Anti-dna levels over 1000

Question  What can happen to a person with Anti-dna levels markedly elevated over 1000 IU/ML. I know the level should be under 25.
Can this be dangerous?

Answer  The test is not necessarily dangerous but high levels of anti-DS DNA antibodies often indicate that lupus disease is active. Discuss with your doctor.
