Remicaid therapy
|
I am 37 years old. I have been diagnosed with gout and psoriatic arthritis. The doctor said I should start remicaid therapy. Will I have to take it always, is it dangerous? |

Look throught he information on this website about Remicade and the other TNF inhibitors. You may be on Remicade for a long time, as long as your arthritis remains active. The main problems with Remicade and the other TNF inhibitors (Humira and Enbrel) is the risk of infection. For most patients who are otherwise healthly, this is a manageable side effect with the caution to seek care if they develop any symptoms of an infection. Other side effects are rare. For patients with moderate to severe disease these drugs are beneficial and effective. You should discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor to make sure that this drug is right for you. |
