Re: Can osteoarthritis be caused by auto accident?

::I have severe pain in my wrists. My dr. says that the xray shows that there is osteoarthritic something or other. He says this is caused by the auto accident in which I was rear ended. I saw the vehicle coming and braced myself by holding onto the steering wheel. Is this something that will go away and is there any kind of time frame you can give me? Thanks, |

Not seeing the x-ray, its diffcult to comment. Degenerative arthritis can occur following injury to a joint, but this takes a long period of time. Once it occurs, it does not go away. |
