Psoriatic Spondylitis with positive RF

Question  Hi. Why would I have a low/moderate positive Rheumatoid Factor with Psoriatic Spondylitis?

Answer  Rheumatoid factor is not specific for rheumatoid arthritis. Other types of inflammatory arthritis including psoriatic arthritis and lupus can have a positive rheumatoid factor. Anti-CCP antibodies are mosre specific for RA and you might ask your doctor if you have been checked.
