Skin reactions...

Question  Since my RA diagnosis (2/6/2004), I have been treated with prednisone (10mg/day), minocycline (200mg/day), methotrexate (for 90 days, discontinued for intolerance), Arava for 5 weeks (discontinued for intestinal and bowel intolerance); and finally Humira (one dose so far).

I have a significant bloom of itchy rash on my upper and lower body. My Internist and my Rheumatologist say this is a drug reaction and will resolve itself.

Is it possible for a reaction like this to cause severe hives in one's partner simply by contact while sleeping?

Thank you,

Answer  If I understand your question correctly, the answer is no. It is not possible to spread hives from a drug rash to one's partner or for that matter anyone else by contact.
