Rheumatoid & Methotrexate

Question  I have recently stopped my methotrexate, and I feel fine. It has been 2 months now, I am wondering exactly what does Methotrexate do for rheumatoid?
 
Answer  Methotrexate reduces the joint pain and swelling of rheumatoid arthritis as well as prevents joint damage. You sound fortunate in that your RA may have gone into remission.
