Too Much Prednisone?
|
I am on Methotrexate 12.5mg per week, Arthrotec50 three times a day and Prednisone 20mg a day for RA. I have been on this combo for 4 months now. Is 20mg of Prednisone per day considered a high dose? |

It is a moderate dose, but too high a dose to be used long term for RA because of side effects. Talk to your doctor about increasing MTX or the addition of other medications to allow the taper of prednisone. Prednsione should be reduced to 5 mg per day or off if possible. |
