Tapering off Prednisone
|
I was on 20mg of Prednisone for 3 months and then 15 for a month and 10 for another month. Now my doctor has me to go down to 5mg for two weeks and then off totaly. This is my second day at 5mg and I feel good. Is that considered fast to reduce the Prednisone? |

It depends on why you were given prednisone and the risk that your disease will flare. It is not too fast if the object is merely to get you off of prednisone safely. |
