What is seronegative arthritis?

Question  what is zero negative arthritis ?

Answer

HI Fathema,

Seronegative arthritis refers to inflammatory arthritis (joints that are swollen and painful and warm) for which the usual blood tests for rheumatoid arthritis are negative. These tests are rheumatoid factor and anti-CCP antibody.  If these tests are negative, but the clinical presentation resembles RA, the patient will often be given a label of "seronegative arthritis".
