Rheumatiod Arthritis

Question  I have Anemia due to my RA. How low dose the numbers have to go before I should do any thing about it and is there any thing that can be done for it?

Answer  Drugs such as Procrit and Aranesp are useful to treat the anemia of RA. The decision to use these medications depends on the patient, not just on the "numbers". I think it is reasonable to say that these drugs MAY be used to treat anemia with hematocrits below 36.
