Psoriatic Arthritis and fatigue

Can you please comment on the relationship between fatigue and psoriatic arthritis? What causes the fatigue? Do any of the drug treatments help to reduce fatigue? |

Fatigue is common in all patients with an inflammatory arthritis such as psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. It is likely multifactorial. Medications, lack of mobility and exercise, sleep disturbance, chronic systemic inflammation and in some cases depression can all play a role. Sorting it out can be difficult. Associated thyroid problems and anemia should also be ruled out. |
