depression in immunocompromised patient with RA

Question  A 45 year old lady has RA on methotrexate and cyclophosphamide for 2 years. She had developed bilateral papilledema as a drug side effect which was managed with Acetazolamide 2 months back. for the past 2 months she satisfies the criteria for moderate depression. She has no past history of any psychiatric illness. Which class of anti depressant will be suitable for her ?

Answer  I am not aware of any information that suggests that one antidepressant is superior to another in patients with rheumatic illness or in patients who are on immunosuppressive therapy. You might consult a psychiatrist.
