Osteoarthritis Initiative releases first data

The Osteoarthritis Initiative (OAI) is a nationwide research study sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that will help us better understand how to prevent and treat knee osteoarthritis. On August 1, the NIH issued a press release informing the public that the first set of data is now available. (see NIH press release) Data from participants is available to researchers on the UCSF website.
