Concerns over incidence of liver toxicity in patients taking Arava®
There has been recent concerns about liver failure and death in patients taking Arava®. These concerns emanated from the European reports which are summarized on the European Medicines Evaluation Agency's (EMEA) Website. A number of patients who developed liver disease or died when taking Arava® had pre-existing liver disease and/or were on other hepatotoxic drugs. Extreme caution should be used in these patients.
