- Understand the role MHC class Ib molecules play in innate and adaptive immunity
- Identify and characterize the role the mucosal immune compartment plays in the clearance of enteric bacterial infection and the development of immunity
- Understand how infection with enteric bacteria is linked to the subsequent development of inflammatory arthritis
